This capability is only available if your AWS Wickr/Enterprise Network Administrator has enabled Single Sign On (SSO) - This new feature will allow you to sync data (Rooms, Conversations and Messages) from an existing device to your new device, or to a device that has been reset. Prior to version 5.42, you could only add a device but would not recover any previous messages on the new device. With Message Syncing, you are cloning one existing device (say your desktop or another mobile) device to another. You must have an existing device to implement this process, or you will lose message history. See "Adding a New Device without a Secondary Device using the Master Recovery Key instead" below if you are using the Master Recovery Key.

Adding a New Device with a Secondary Device:
- You must already have a Wickr account and the AWS Wickr/Enterprise app installed on a device.
- Now, to add another device to your existing account, open the app on your new device.
- Enter your credentials (sign-in screen) and press enter or click/tap "Continue" or "Continue with Email."
- (Android only) Select browser if requested.
- Enter SSO credentials
- Then you will see QR Code screen.
- Leave the new device open to the Wickr app and open the Wickr app on your original device. You should see a notification that a new device is trying to sign in: Click/tap approve.
- Hold the QR code on the new device in front of the camera of the original device. Wickr will automatically start syncing the messages and other content.
- Wait until the QR Code screen is replaced by the welcome screen on the new device.
Adding a New Device without a Secondary Device using the Master Recovery Key instead:
- You must already have a Wickr account and the Wickr Pro/Enterprise app installed on a device.
- Now, to add another device to your existing account, open the app on your new device.
- Enter your credentials (sign-in screen) and press enter or click/tap "Continue" or "Continue with Email."
- (Android only) Select browser if requested.
- Enter SSO credentials (our preferred SSO partner is Okta)
- Then you will see QR Code screen. If you DO NOT have a secondary device, click/tap "I Don't Have Another Device" at the bottom of the screen.
- Copy-paste or type in your Master Recovery Key and click/tap "Recover." Wickr will automatically start syncing the Rooms and contacts, but not the message content.
- Wait until the QR Code screen is replaced by the welcome screen on the new device.
Another advantage of this feature is recovering from a corrupted application or device; from your corrupted device, you can click 'Reset Application' which will wipe out everything. Then you can perform a new device syncing flow. It is important to make sure you have another device available so you can sync to your corrupted device. Just follow the steps above you're now back securely working again!
